The Municipality, together with Aguas Horizonte and Techint, carries out traditional Christmas caravans in Tocopilla.
The caravans took place over three days, from December 21 to 23, trying to cover all sectors of the commune, bringing joy and candy to children by means of trucks with bronze bands and beautiful Christmas decorations.
As is traditional, the Municipality of Tocopilla made the tour with the Christmas caravans throughout the commune, trying to bring joy and Christmas magic to the whole community, which year after year awaits these dates, where various activities designed for the youngest members of the household are carried out.
"We are delighted to be able to offer our community these activities that awaken joy and enthusiasm during the end of year festivities, but above all, because they allow us to generate moments where the families of Tocopilla are together waiting for the municipal caravan, called Christmas in your Neighborhood", commented the chief of staff, Dario Rojas.
The tour:
The caravans began on Thursday, December 21, a day on which the cars that made up this route had a brass band, a truck accompanied by the Santa Claus and various Christmas decorations, in addition to the traditional cars that followed the route which that day covered the north central sector, starting at the Municipality, passing through the main streets, until it reached Pacífico Norte, to return to the center and finish the route where it began.
The second day the route covered the center to the south, with the same decoration of the first day, while on Saturday 23, the last day of the caravans, was also accompanied by a bronze band, but was also accompanied by local motorcyclists and carried a Santa Claus and Rudolph the reindeer, built by sculptors tocopillanos. That day the caravan made a general tour, passing through the center of the commune, then to the north, trying to cover other streets that had not been passed, and then the caravan returned to the center to continue the tour through the south of the commune. In the three days the caravan tried to cover as many places as possible, so that all the children of the commune could see the decorations and enjoy Christmas with their families.
Finally, the municipality thanked the collaboration of the companies Aguas Horizonte and Techint, who joined the Municipality of Tocopilla, and together made these caravans possible.
